Anuraag Dhoundeyal is a vocalist, composer, producer, performer, writer, and educator working at the forefront of India’s cross-cultural performing arts scene. Trained in Indian classical music from an early age, his artistic voice has been deeply shaped by ancient Indian philosophy, poetry, and mysticism.
His work in music education and mysticism led to invitations from Guildhall School of Music and Drama (2009) and Carnegie Hall (2012) for workshops on Indian music and mysticism. He created Sounds of the Sufis (2014–18), India’s first musical documentary theatre production, which toured internationally and led to the release of the album Ek Hi Rang. In 2019, he was invited to deliver a TEDx talk on mysticism in India through music.
As a music director, his work across films, documentaries, and streaming platforms, including Silvat and Wedding.Con has earned critical acclaim. He is currently producing Adwit?ya, a genre-defying project inspired by Adi Shankara’s non-dual philosophy and Sufi poetry, blending Indian classical and folk traditions with jazz harmony and contemporary production.
